Empowering Your Path to Serenity

How can therapy help and what is it all about?
Imagine psychotherapy as a comforting embrace for your mind—a space where thoughts and feelings can unfold without judgment. Your therapist becomes a compassionate companion, helping you navigate life’s complexities, identify patterns, and foster healthier coping mechanisms. This collaborative journey isn’t about trimming away negativity but about tending to the garden of your thoughts with care and understanding. Through warm conversations, psychotherapy cultivates self-awareness, offering a gentle light on the motivations that drive you. It’s a nurturing process that empowers you to embrace positive change, making the twists and turns of life a journey of self-discovery and emotional well-being.

Why is your mental health important?
Taking care of your mental health is crucial. It’s the heartbeat of your overall well-being and the key to a fulfilling life. Your mental health shapes how you perceive and engage with the world, influencing your relationships, work, and daily experiences. It’s the compass guiding your responses to stress, the glue holding meaningful connections together, and the fuel for making sound decisions. When you nurture your mental health, you’re not just ensuring emotional stability but also safeguarding your physical well-being. Prioritizing your mental health is an investment in resilience, empowering you to face life’s challenges with strength, build deep and meaningful relationships, and pursue a life brimming with purpose and satisfaction.

About Me
Hello, I’m Ana Grasilovic (she/her) fluent in both English and Serbian, providing a safe and welcoming space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
I obtained a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology (MACP) with honors from Yorkville University and I have been a Registered Psychotherapist since September 2022. Before embarking on my journey to become a psychotherapist, I gained almost a decade of experience in the corporate environment. In addition to holding a university degree in Business Management, I’ve also achieved additional designations throughout my corporate career. After completing my university degree in 2010, I immigrated from Serbia to Canada to join my family.
My commitment to ongoing education and professional development remains firm in my psychotherapy practice, always striving to provide clients with the highest quality of care.
Therapeutic Style
I believe in the power of genuine human connection, and I’m here to listen, support, and empower you on your journey to self-discovery and healing. I am particularly passionate about helping individuals from diverse backgrounds explore their identities, overcome cultural barriers, and navigate the challenges they face.
My therapeutic approach is founded on existentialism and person-centered principles, creating an eclectic blend that integrates elements from my training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I incorporate mindfulness, breathwork, and a strength-based approach. As a trauma-informed therapist, my primary focus is on cultivating a safe and supportive environment to facilitate your healing.
Embarking on your journey toward healing and self-discovery takes courage, and I’m here to support you every step of the way.
